Philosophy

Fitness goes far beyond looks. It improves your health and quality of life. Make it fun and enjoyable so you feel satisfied and successful!

Experience

In my 10 years of experience I have worked with a variety of people with different levels of fitness - from athletes and competitors, to those with serious health conditions or other limitations - including amputees.

I played basketball and volleyball during college. During that time, I fell in love with being fit. I would always come up with different and effective exercises that got my peers’ attention. This led to my helping them get great results and I received lots of positive feedback! It was then I realized that I love helping people reach their goals. There is nothing better than hearing that I changed a person’s life!

Testimonial

"I have been training with Chrissy for around 7 months. With her training and nutrition plan I am now down 126 lbs and I’m off 2 insulin injections, blood pressure pills, and cholesterol pills, 2 pills for my back and one pill for my knee. She helped me to get my life back. Hard to put into words what she has helped me accomplish. Plus it would take a small book to fit it in. Thank you Chrissy."

About Me

I was not always a healthy and fit individual and struggled with my weight for years. Five years ago I decided that I had enough and was tired of the way I felt about myself. I wanted to start living a life I always dreamed of - A FIT LIFE! I weighed 209 lbs when I started my journey to becoming healthy. Today, I am at a healthy weight and live my life to the fullest!

How did I do this? Through clean eating and exercise - I was able to reach my desired goal and have maintained it since then. It didn’t happen overnight and I did hit a few plateaus along the way but that did not stop me!

I’ve learned many things about myself. I found I love to run! Running has changed my life. I have participated in many running events - 5ks, 10ks, half marathons and completed several Spartan Races. I have recently completed a GoRuck Challenge! Biggest life changing experience to date! In the near future, I plan to run my first marathon! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, kayaking and I LOVE TO COOK and try new recipes! And of course SHOP!

I’ve realized the benefits of being active and eating healthy. I continued this passion for fitness into becoming a personal trainer in order to help others be the best that they can be! My main goal as a trainer is to make sure you reach your desired goals and to make it FUN! I will support you and push you to the results you seek. I have a tremendous passion for fitness and look forward to helping clients push past their comfort zone while setting goals and living healthier lifestyles. Changing lifestyle habits so that they can become a permanent way of life!

Never ever say you can’t - you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to---the sky is the limit!

About Me

I am a lifelong martial arts practitoner. I began studying Judo at age 8 and Muay Thai at age 20. I very much enjoy teaching students at any skill level and helping them see the beauty in both disciplines. The best part of teaching Muay Thai and Judo is watching the confidence grow in those I teach. I love watching the faces light up when they accomplish something they didn't think they were able to do.

Muay Thai is the 'art of eight limbs'. Muay Thai fighters strike with their elbows and knees in addition to punching and kicking techniques. Balance and flow are developed along with core strength and cardio conditioning.

Judo means 'the gentle way.' This Olympic sport focuses on using leverage and misdirection. Practitioners use an opponent's strength to their own advantage and overcome by skill rather than strength. While learning self-defense skills, students gain physical strength, balance, focus and body awareness inside class.

Outside of class, students walk with confidence knowing they are prepared to be leaders in school, handle any stress calmly at work, or defend themselves if necessary. Adolescents also develop a positive self worth along with respect for parents and elders. Let me help you acquire any of the above and just enhance your workouts at the Club!

About Me

I have always been interested in fitness. I was an athlete in high school, playing football, baseball, basketball and track. I decided to go to school to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. I've been working at Family Practice Center as a Physical Therapy Assistant since 2012 helping clients recover from injuries and reach their fitness goals.

I became involved with Sparta in 2013 and became an instructor in 2015. I've done 3 Spartan trifectas so far and did well in competitions. My best finishes being 14th out of 3,500 in the Sprint, 112th out of 3,500 in the Super, and 55th out of 5,000 for the Beast.

I'm an advocate of exercise, healthy eating, and outdoor activities. I enjoy anything that can make me sweat (lifting, rock climbing, hiking/trail running, any and all sports). I've also been skydiving a few times.

I became a personal trainer to motivate and inspire others to reach their health and fitness objectives. I also like to see my clients get healthy, fit, and enjoy themselves. We only get one life, let's make it happy.
